The Seven-Star Temple is designed and constructed according to Taoist cosmology, topped with a Taichi symbol and surrounded with Bagua diagram. It is the scene where the crew shot the episode of “Borrowing the East Wind” when producing the TV series “The Three Kingdoms.”

Prior to the Battle of Red Cliffs, when Zhou Yu falls in dilemma and illness, Zhuge Liang presents his “prescription”: “To defeat Cao Cao’s troops, fire attack could be applied, and now everything is ready, except for the east wind.” He asks Zhou Yu to construct the three-story Seven-Stars Temple on the piedmont of the Nanping Mountain. It is at this three-story Seven-Stars Temple where Zhuge Liang borrows the east wind that helps to bring Cao Cao’s fatal defeat in the fire of Red Cliffs.
